Built Right Pools
Fit a plunge pool in a courtyard, a side yard, beside your entertaining area or along a boundary.
Slimline shapes like the Brampton Slimline and Venice Slimline are made for smaller, slimmer backyards.
A smaller footprint can sit on a terrace or be built into the slope as a retaining pool.
Prefer above ground? The Plunge range is also available as an above ground pool.
Want a bench seat, a splash deck or a spa in a smaller yard? These shapes are made for smaller backyards.

Compact and versatile, for yards where you thought a pool wouldn't fit.

A smaller pool needs less water, fewer chemicals and a smaller pump and heating load, so your water and energy bills stay down.

Your warranty covers both the pool structure and the workmanship.

Start with a friendly chat about your ideas, budget and timeline. Shane visits your property to check access, orientation and space, then recommends the plunge pool that suits it best.

Your site is prepared for excavation, the fibreglass shell goes in, and the plumbing and electrical are connected. Filtration, lighting and any extras like heating or water features follow.

Your finished pool gets a full inspection to make sure everything meets a high standard, then a final walkthrough. It's ready to enjoy, backed by ongoing support.
It's one of the first questions homeowners ask, and the answer depends on your block. Here's how approval typically works.
Most plunge pools under 40,000L on standard residential blocks qualify for a faster approval path. Boundary setbacks, typically 1m minimum, and pool placement affect what's required.
All Gold Coast pools need building approval from a licensed building certifier, even small plunge pools. It's separate from, and often quicker than, a full council DA.
Queensland law requires compliant pool fencing and a CPR sign before any pool can be used. Both are inspected as part of the building approval sign-off.
Every pool must be registered on the Queensland Pool Safety Register within 30 days of completion. Shane does this as part of your handover.

Shane handles the paperwork. Built Right Pools coordinates the building certifier, fencing compliance and pool register for you, so you're never left working through red tape on your own.
Both fit smaller yards, but they serve different purposes, cost different amounts to run and suit different lifestyles.

The Plunge range comes in five sizes:
The 4.2m x 1.6m model is the smallest, made for small areas with limited space.
Often, yes. A plunge pool can go in a courtyard, a side yard, beside your entertaining area or along a boundary. Boundary setbacks are typically 1m minimum, so Shane visits to check access, orientation and space, then recommends the size that fits.
Yes. Sloped and terraced blocks suit plunge pools well. The smaller footprint can sit on a terrace or be built into the block as a retaining pool, which doubles as part of the site's retaining structure.
Yes. The Plunge range is also available as an above ground option. See our above ground pools for how it works.
Most plunge pools are between 1.2 and 1.8 metres deep, which makes them deeper than a standard spa. Ask Shane for the exact depth of the model you like.
For everyday use, yes. A plunge pool covers what most families use a pool for: cooling off, kids splashing around and light exercise. If you want more water, the 5.5m and 6.5m Billabong Plunge models give you room to swim.
Installation usually takes 7 to 14 days, depending on site conditions and weather.

Yes. You can choose solar heating for low running costs, though it relies on the weather; an electric heat pump for efficient, consistent heat; or gas, the fastest option, with a higher running cost.
Choose from the UV resistant Shimmer colour range, including Sky Blue, Pacific, Royal Ocean, Indigo, Midnight, Silver, Royal Jade, Beach, Hampton Grey, Royal Alpine White and Miami. See them all on our colour range page.
Absolutely. Fibreglass pools are well suited to the region's sandy soil and warm, coastal climate.
Very little. Fibreglass pools need regular cleaning, water testing and occasional equipment servicing. With less water than a full-sized pool, you also use fewer chemicals and run your pump for less time.
